Initially developed for NASA to protect astronauts from temperature fluctuations, Outlast Technologies have incorporated phase-change materials (PCM) into their line of fabrics and fibres to absorb, store and release heat for optimal thermal comfort. As the skin gets hot, the heat is absorbed, as it cools, that heat is released. Outlast® technology has the ability to continually regulate the skin’s micro-climate and manage the body's temperature, moisture and comfort.

MICRO-ENCAPSULATED PHASE CHANGE MATERIALS

Outlast micro encapsulated phase change material.

Outlast® phase change materials are micro-encapsulated to be permanently enclosed and protected.  They are embedded in Outlast® fibres to absorb, store and release heat. Outlast® technology is not wicking technology, which manages moisture by reacting to your sweat and pulling it away from the skin. Outlast® technology will proactively manage heat while controlling the production of moisture before it begins.

With Outlast® technology added to apparel such as Little Angel, babies will feel just right.
